SALISBURY are out of the Wiltshire Senior Cup after losing 4-3 to Highworth Town in the semi-final on Tuesday night.
A brace from Tommy Wright put the Whites in command at the break at Melksham Town’s Oakfields stadium.
But the Worthians were back on level terms in the second period as Keiron Gleen and Jon Davoile found the net.
Salisbury got themselves back in front when Highworth defender Lewis Brown put the ball in his own net to make it 3-2.
But Ashley Edenborough restored parity once more on 84 minutes and, with under five minutes of normal time remaining, Luke Cousins notched the winner for the underdogs.
Highworth, like Salisbury have reached the semi-finals of the FA Vase, and will play local rivals Swindon Supermarine in the final.
The defeat for Steve Claridge’s men means, if they make the Southern League play-offs, their semi-final clash will take place on Wednesday, April 26 not Tuesday, April 25.
