Ness and Lane mix it with GB stars
CITY of Salisbury starlets Jake Ness and Austen Lane enjoyed a day in Cardiff mixing with two of Great Britain’s athletes.
The Salisbury youngsters were coached by 400m hurdler Dai Greene and indoor 60m sprinter Jason Gardner after winning some top-level coaching, which was designed to help boost the teenagers’ prospects.
Held in the Wales National Indoor Athletic Centre, the coaching session focused on approach warm-ups, sprintstarts, mobility, strength and conditioning, then moved on to technical feedback on the mechanics of their sprinting style.
The inspirational day was rounded off by a therapeutic ice bath.
