Storey's debut pleases Harris
METICULOUS Salisbury City boss Mikey Harris is hoping the loan signing of Miles Storey will benefit both the youngster and the club.
Harris bolstered his squad by agreeing terms with Swindon Town for the month's loan spell of Storey on Friday afternoon.
Thrown straight into the squad 24-hours later, the 19-year-old emerged from the bench to setup Dan Fitchett for Salisbury's equaliser during their 2-1 win over Welsh side Wrexham on Saturday.
“He was brilliant on his debut,” said Harris.
“He gave us exactly what I thought he would with pace and quality.
“I've seen him play a few times and tried to bring him to the club when he was a bit younger but unfortunately it didn't happen for one reason or another.
“But I've managed to get him in now and I'm really pleased he has agreed to join us. He's a fantastic talent and I'm sure he will become a fans' favourite during his time here. He's a young lad but has achieved a lot and hopefully we can both benefit from his loan spell.”
Storey, who is a graduate of Town's youth system, signed a professional contract for Swindon in 2012 and represented England under 19s.
Storey could start for Salisbury at tonight's Skrill Premier clash with Dartford (7.45pm).
