AFTER five years of ongoing financial problems, Skrill Premier side Salisbury City have confirmed their administration exit.

Consequently, the City side suffered a double demotion in 2010, losing manager Tommy Widdrington and dropping from the Conference Premier to the Southern Premier League.

A consortium board of William Harrison-Allan, Chris Brammall and Jeff Hooper saved the club and appointed Darrell Clarke as player-manager, with Mikey Harris as his wing-man.

After three years at the helm, Clarke left Salisbury to take on a coaching role at Bristol Rovers, leaving Harris to take sole charge with Warren Feeney as his assistant - shortly before the start of 2013/2014 season got underway.

Now, the club say all debts have been cleared and they can concentrate on consolidating for the future.

A statement on the club’s website said: “The board of directors at Salisbury are delighted to announce that we have fulfilled our obligations under the CVA and are therefore out of administration.

“Now the club’s financial affairs are in order, it will shore up the underpinnings of the team, and provide a sound base to develop the squad further, promoting continued success.

“We wish to thank everyone that has made this achievement possible, and are looking forward to Salisbury’s bright future.”

The Whites, four points off the play-offs, return to the league - after a two-week break - at Macclesfield Town tomorrow (3pm).
