FORMER Saints and Salisbury City legend Nick Holmes made a guest appearance at a popular Salisbury book store to sign copies of a football-themed book.
All the Saints reminisces on current and past players, including Holmes’ role in the team’s heroic FA Cup win in 1976 and his spell as Salisbury City manager for eight years.
Holmes, now working in Amesbury, was joined by friend and former Salisbury City chairman Neville Beal at Waterstones on Thursday night to showcase the book from Hagiology Publishing, a collective made up of the Southampton Football Club’s esteemed and official historians.
The book is the product of decades of intense and meticulous research, and is available at a cost of £35.
It has been on the shelves since the end of November, and also includes biographies on Whites’ other former Saints Jake Thomson and Jamie White, and another former Salisbury City boss, Tommy Widdrington.
