EIGHTEEN starlets at Tidworth Garrison Golf Club braved the treacherous conditions to be part of the club’s annual scramble competition.
The event was spread across 14 holes and each group was partnered by a parent or grandparent to keep score – and assist with the format.
The overall group winners were Tom Stephens, Tom Millar and Elliot Taylor – assisted by parent Mark Taylor.
After the event, competitors and other club members enjoyed drinks to celebrate the new year and were thanked by the junior’s chairman Brian Bosley for their continued support in 2013.
Prizes were also awarded for the scramble competition and to victors of the major events through the year by club captain Brian Hutchins.
Club president Lieutenant General Andrew Gregory addressed the gathering and congratulated the junior’s captain Charl Malan for achieving his second year of captaincy.
Club professional Terry Gosden presented his Coach’s Trophy for Player of the Year to Oliver Crouch (2013) and belatedly to Elliot Taylor (2012).
