SALISBURY Stingrays’ leading swimmer Phil Muspratt admits there’s still room for improvement after marginally missing out on a medal in the ASA Southern Zonal Championships.
Muspratt went to the event at Millfield School, Somerset with high hopes and was against top regional swimmers, all with their eyes on gold.
Competing in his trademark 50m freestyle event, and seeded fourth, he qualified for the final by finishing sixth and went two better in the final.
However, the improved performance still left him short-changed.
“My time wasn't good enough and I'm really disappointed with the performance.
I've beaten the winner on several occasions and should be walking away with gold.”
