A DRAMATIC penalty shootout settled a pulsating Charity A Cup semi final between high riding The Wanderers and Stockton & Codford.
After 2-2 at the end of full time and extra time, Kristian Guyatt stepped up from 12 yards to secure a 3-2 win on penalties and a place in the final for the Salisbury and District (Saturday) Premier leaders.
Wanderers will face the winner of the other semi final involving Devizes Inn and South Newton & Wishford.
In normal time, Adam Jones’ opener was cancelled out 15 minutes before the break and then the visitors took the lead from a corner in the second half. But top scorer Newman fired home his 13th of the season to force extra time, ending goalless.
In the Charity B cup, Durrington WMC booked their spot in the last four against leaders Chalke Valley after a hard-fought victory over Value Cars.
A last ditch winner from Watson completed the comeback and an away 2-1 victory.
Elsewhere, Amesbury Kings Arms, who are undefeated since the end of November, battled to a 2-1 win at West Harnham in Salisbury District (Saturday) Division One.
Tom Brown and captain Danny Goodall, capitalising on a goalkeeping error, clinched the points.
