GIRL footballers from a Salisbury school are celebrating after reaching the regional finals of a competition fronted by French wizard Zinedine Zidane.
A success at the Danone Nations Cup junior football tournament will see the team from Dinton Primary School compete in the finals on Saturday, March 29 at Wise Campus, south Gloucestershire.
After progressing through the knockout stages, the youngsters are up against nine other schools from across the south west in a bid to reach the final at a firstclass FA venue this summer.
Charlotte Broos, a manager at Danone, said: “Congratulations to Dinton Primary School.
“They have had a great tournament so far and we hope the children are enjoying this unique mix of football, friendship and fairplay.”
