NEWLY crowned FA Trophy holders Cambridge United get back to division basics when they visit Salisbury City in the Skrill Premier tonight (7.45pm).

The U’s, who were living the dream at Wembley after beating Gosport Borough 4-0 in the iconic non-league competition, visit the Ray Mac where City are unbeaten in eight matches.

Incidentally, their last home defeat was against the second-placed high-fliers in the first round of the trophy four months ago.

“We’ve got a good home record against some of the bigger clubs in the division,” said head coach Mikey Harris, who was watching Sunday’s final in London.

“If we can get a positive result then that will be great.”

With eight games left, Salisbury are still in contention for making the top five but Harris admits it’s currently a bit of a “dream”.

The 29-year-old added: “In the two games we’ve played them this season, I don’t think we’ve performed to the best of our ability, so I’ll be hoping for a positive performance following on from Saturday’s draw.

“If we can put in a similar display, and have a bit more quality in the final third, we’ll be good value for a win.”

“We have to focus on Cambridge, and reaching the play-offs is a bit of a dream at the minute.”

AFC Wimbledon loanee Charlie Sheringham, pictured left, will be challenging for a place in the starting XI following his debut at Wrexham.

Sheringham, 25, who was brought in on loan from the League Two outfit on the eve of City’s trip to north Wales, is on a month’s loan, which can be extended until the end of the season.

He gives City another attacking option following the absences of assistant manager Warren Feeney (injured) and Ben Wright (on loan at Eastleigh).

“It’s nice to be at Salisbury and be able to play some games towards the end of the campaign,” said the son of former England, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker Teddy.

“When I spoke to Mikey he said he needed someone with fire power and I was more than happy to make the move.”

“We have a big game tonight, which is a good one to play in and I’m looking forward to it.”

Sheringham has a good reputation across the non-league scene, netting 30 times in 46 appearances for rivals Dartford in 2010/11 season.

“I’ve played at this level quite a bit and scored goals, something I hope to continue.”
