MEDAL winners from Amesbury under 16s took on their fathers in a friendly match at Bonnymead Park.

After being 4-0 up at the break, the older team pegged it back to 4-4 before one of the teenagers slotted home the winner for the victory on Saturday.

Under 14s from Shrewton got their sixth win on the trot in the North Wilts League following an impressive hattrick win at second-placed Wroughton.

Lewis Sainsbury put the visitors one up before a pile driver of a free kick 40 yards out from Jacob Slater doubled their lead. In the second half, a fired up Wroughton were determined to get back in the game but Shrewton refused to give way and Slater’s second midway through the second half completed the scoring and ensured his side’s strong finish to the season continued.

Shrewton now lie third in the top tier of the league going into their final games.

Salisbury City under 10s are through to Eastleigh District Cup quarter finals after a great squad effort with many key players missing. A 1-0 win over Alresford backed up by a 4-1 victory over Soccer 4 All booked their place in the last eight.
