EAST Knoyle’s Ben Stow is on course to teeing off with the world’s greatest golfers at The Open Championship in Liverpool this summer following a college tour victory.

Stow, pictured above, who featured at Muirfield last year, grabbed his maiden win on the USA college tour with a playoff win at the Bull Bay Intercollegiate Championships in South Carolina.

That tournament sealed a fifth top ten finish on American soil, which he will look to push during the qualification stages for the British Open in July.

In the meantime, Stow will be training at local club Rushmore when he returns home in a few weeks time, where he will enjoy the club’s new tees, practice facilities and machinery.
