DEPLETED Durrington Otters made a superb start at the first round of the Moonraker Summer League with the capture of different coloured medals.
Four golds in the opening 15 races were bagged thanks to courageous performances from Ruby Allen (under 12s 25m butterfly), James Hartwell (under 16s 50m freestyle), Dylan Gosden (under 14s 50m breaststroke) and Georgia Allen (under 14s breaststroke).
Meanwhile, three silvers were gained by Rory Burton (open 4x1 individual medley) and Alice Sims (open 4x1 individual medley).
And the third silver came from the boys under 16s medley relay, which was sealed by the team of James Falconer, Wilf Richardson, James Hartwell and Gabriel Wills.
Many of the team’s other swimmers kept the momentum going to help the team finish in a plausible third place.
Results: Warminster 154, Bradford-On-Avon 125, Durrington Otters 113, Westbury 97.
