A BEGINNERS course for new triathlon starters has been introduced by Salisbury Tri Club.

The ten-week programme takes a detailed look at the swimming, cycling and running- based sport at South Wilts School.

Participants will take part in the three sports as well as learning about technique, nutrition and race planning.

Sessions for people aged 18+ start on Wednesday and costs £35, while members can sign-up for £10.

Experienced British triathlon coaches will be leading the programme, which working is in conjunction with Wiltshire Council Sport Development Team and Lewis Andrews Foundation. To book, email or go to

The first class begins at 6.30pm and will last 90 minutes.

On completion of the course, participants will receive a year’s club membership and discounted entry into a local triathlon event.
