NOMANSLAND were almost certainly saved from defeat as heavy rain caused the abandonment of their West 2 fixture with Bransgore seconds.
The in-form Sam Dempster held the visiting innings together with a lovely 94, but did not get much assistance as the Loveless brothers - Gary and Ian - with a dozen apiece were the only others to reach double figures. Dale Hunter's slow left arm did the damage with 5-24.
With the sky darkening by the minute, Bransgore pushed on to raise the run rate, but the rain arrived after 13 overs to thwart their challenge. Bratt (24), Hooper (31 not out) and Wright (15 not out) had all looked comfortable. James Mason took the only wicket to fall.
