RISING squash stars from Salisbury won an inter county event when representing Wiltshire under 11s.

The primary schoolchildren won their table after beating Berkshire 18-5 and Buckinghamshire 16-10.

The Chafyn Grove School pupils, representing the county, comprised number one string Oli Brunton, winning two of his matches, David Offer, Nathan Elliott, Ben Howgrave Graham and Millie Reeve. Tom Cook, who trains at Five Rivers Leisure Centre, also put in good performances.

Elsewhere, the under 13s played some strong squash but were pipped by Buckinghamshire and forced to settle for second spot.

They beat Oxfordshire 14-5 and Berkshire 16-7 but lost 4-16 to Buckinghamshire.
