FOUR Salisbury Tri Club athletes put in stunning performances at IronMan UK Bolton on Sunday.
The testing course, made up of a two-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26-mile run, is considered to be one of the world’s toughest IronMan events.
Scott Hill, making his triathlon debut, put in an outstanding effort finishing in a well earned time of 10hours 22mins and 53secs.
Wayne Reynolds was the next club member to finish in a very respectable time of 11.28, followed by the solid Alistair Elliot, who finished in a time of 12.15.
And Helen Benfield crossed the line in a time of 16.37.
Elsewhere, Ruth Thom and Debbie Atkinson wore the Salisbury Tri Club colours at the Waterlooville Triathlon.
Atkinson demonstrated her usual excellent form in the pool and backed this up with two solid performances in the other disciplines to finish in a time of 2.51.
Thom, despite being dogged by punctures, managed to secure a top ten lady finish in 2.27.
