STEEPLE Langford could not get the vital win they needed against Hursley Park seconds in their fight to preserve their County Division 3 (North) status.
After hitting a respectable 180 from their 50 overs, the visitors were hoping their fielders could help secure the win.
Things looked bright for Steeple Langford as Hursley wickets fell at regular intervals but as the visiting side only needed to take two more wickets, a strong ninth wicket stand saw Hursley get the runs needed to snatch victory.
