AMESBURY Cricket Club walked away with a five wicket victory to lift the HK Robinson Trophy.
Locking horns with Rockbourne, Amesbury decided to bowl first, which proved to be a good decision.
Amesbury’s bowlers restricted Rockbourne to 116 from 20 overs, a target which could easily be beaten.
Openers Dale Gower and Manny Gurung got Amesbury off to the best possible start, with a stand of 38 runs in five overs.
Some quality bowling from Rockbourne saw Amesbury lose five wickets, but they still managed to reach the designated target in the 17th over to become the winners of this year’s HK Robinson Trophy.
