SOUTH Wilts successfully defended the Southern Electric twenty20 Cup with final victory over Lymington at the Ageas Bowl last night.
The Lower Bemerton outfit blasted to a 106-run win to become the second ever side to secure back-to-back T20 victories.
Capturing the double is 50 per cent complete as league leaders South Wilts have three games left in ECB Southern Electric Premier Division, currently seven points clear.
Coincidentally, South Wilts aim to hone in on the title by welcoming last night’s opponents – Lymington – to the Bemerton ground today (1pm).
