TROPHY-WINNING South Wilts will be adding to their stash of silverware when they head to the familiar ECB Southern Electric Premier League’s annual presentation dinner in Southampton tomorrow evening.
The team itself will be crowned Premier Division champions for a third successive season – a feat only previously performed by Havant between 2007 and 2009 – and will also collect the Southern Electric twenty20 Cup, which they won again this summer.
Hard-hitting batsman Tom Morton, pictured, who finished his first term as skipper, and James Hibberd will pick up prestigious individual awards.
Morton will crown a phenomenal individual season – he scored 813 league runs and snapped up 28 victims behind the stumps – with the Premier Division batting and wicket-keeping prizes.
Hibberd won the Barry Boorah Bowl – the top bowling award – after taking 28 wickets.
