BEMERTON Heath Harlequins left it late to rescue an invaluable point at home to Alresford Town in Wessex Premier.
Daniel Fox gave the visitors the ascendancy at Western Way but Neil Williams ensured his side weren’t left empty-handed after tucking away Jack Eves’ cross in the final minute of added time.
Boss Ian Chalk described the draw as a fair result: “We created a lot of chances and maybe did enough to win.”
“Our problem is that we can't seem to last 90 minutes at the moment.
“Sides are putting us under pressure in the last 15 minutes because we concede possession so easily and struggle to recover.
“We should be fit enough, we've played enough games but for some reason it just doesn't seem that we are.
“Had it not been for the Alresford keeper making one of the best saves I've ever seen at Western Way from a Jack Slade header, then we would have walked away with all three points.
“A draw’s okay, though, and we will work through this week to address some issues before Saturday.”
- As part of a Christmas deal, Bemerton are offering free entry to under 16s, accompanied by an adult, and half price to everyone else for their home clash with Fawley on Saturday, December 20.
