Wiltshire give good showing in exciting friendly with national team
AN array of stars connected with Wiltshire Short Mat Bowls Association put up a determined combat in a plum match with England Under-21s.
The Christie Miller Sports Centre, in Melksham, hosted the maiden friendly before the national side head for the British Isles Championships in Wales.
Wiltshire took an early lead into the lunch break but following some strong words from national boss Brian Claessen, England fought-back to win the momentous day 37-31.
