TEN-MAN Laverstock and Ford continued their unbeaten start to the season with an impressive 4-1 win against Christchurch as the Jones’ brothers went goal mad.

The home side were fully in control early on and went ahead after 22 minutes.

Seb Dawes broke into the box and laid his pass into Adam Jones’ path, who tucked his first time shot away to give Lavvy the lead.

On the half hour mark the injured Elliott Wykes was replaced by Kieran Mulcahy and it was the substitute who proved to be an instant hit for the home side. His jinking run teed up Tom Munday who squared to Adam, turning his man to bury his second for a two-goal cushion at the interval.

Adam’s brother Russ danced around the Priory defence to see Lavvy home and dry six minutes before the hour mark with a third.

They were handed a lifeline, however, when Russ picked up a second yellow card and was dismissed.

But sibling Adam sealed his hat-trick 20 minutes from time.

Christchurch did manage to pull a goal back late on through Daniel Finnis.

Joint manager Liam McConnell told JournalSport: “It was as emphatic as it was deserved.

“When this group click it’s a joy to watch. Against a side that many have been tipping to go straight back up shows just how improved this Laverstock side has become, we’ve added some real quality."
