ELLINGHAM & Ringwood made it a hat-trick of wins after defeating Locksheath Pumas 15-8 in Snows Hampshire One.

The game was played at an intense pace with ferocity from both sides at the contact area, but it was also littered with handling errors, which meant that neither side was able to find their usual pattern of play.

When Ellingham eventually strung some passes together they looked dangerous and centre Callum Butler, pictured, opened the scoring with a good try in the corner. With the last touch of the first half their wing three quarter, Chris Frost, scored in the other corner to give the home side a 10-0 advantage at the break.

Locksheath kicked a penalty goal early in the second half to reduce the deficit to 10-3 but the Ellingham full back, Josh Butcher, then finished off another move with a try in the corner to make it 15-3. Locksheath came back strongly and scored a try to make it 15-8, leaving them one score behind. This made for a nervy 15 minutes but the hosts held on for the win.
