FIVE-STAR Amesbury Town put Saturday's dark day behind them by romping to a 5-0 victory over struggling Pewsey Vale last night.

The Blues, who saw their derby clash with Downton FC abandoned after 66 minutes due to defender Adam Pearson pushing the referee after being shown a red card, defended their impressive unbeaten record at Bonnymead Park.

A first half strike from Harry Baddely was added to by second half strikes from Cameron Roach, Danny Finnigan, Kieran Stephens and Craig Wheeler.

The win moves the Blues up to second in Sydenhams Wessex Division One.

They entertain United Services Portsmouth in a second versus third showdown on Saturday.
