THERE was no FA Vase hangover for Salisbury FC as they nailed six past rivals Andover Town to stretch their lead to five points at the top of Sydenhams Wessex Premier.

Goals from Eddie Perrett, Ashley Jarvis and Sam Wilson put Whites in firm control at half time.

Danny Young added a fourth before Claudio Herbert's effort was turned home by Andover skipper Lewis Benson.

Then a 93rd minute strike from Saturday's Vase hero Wilson — taking him up to 30 goals for the term — rounded off a fine night and a league double.

It was a much-changed side for Steve Claridge, who named half-a-dozen alterations, from the starting team at Nuneaton Griff, due to injuries and suspensions.

Harry Wedlake, making his debut, Charlie Blake, Callum Hart, Jarvis, Herbert and Sam Roberts were drafted in for Brandon Mundy, Kane O'Keefe, George Colson, Dan Demkiv, Tom Whelan and Jack Vallis.

But it wasn't one of the changes who got Whites off to a flying start inside seven minutes.

A high corner was headed back across goal and Perrett was there to acrobatically finish.

Andover created chances of their own, including whacking the crossbar, but struggled to beat Charlie Searle, who came off with an injury.

Then two goals in four minutes saw Whites take a 3-0 lead into the interval.

Young streamed down the wing and provided a low cross for Jarvis to plant home.

And the third goal came in similar fashion, this time Herbert was provider for Wilson.

Young's hard work paid off with a goal seven minutes into the second half with a close-range finish, which Jamie Bray couldn't keep out.

A fifth goal was inevitable and a Herbert effort came off Benson on its way into the net.

Salisbury sustained the pressure and Wilson made the most of an un cleared free kick in injury time for number six.
