RUNNERS and walkers flocked to Churchill Gardens on Saturday to take advantage of the spring sunshine as the 51st Salisbury parkrun event saw a record number of 403 participants take part.
That meant 39 more runners took to the 5k course than the previous week.
“The Walk2Run Initiative was well attended with a good number of people turning up for the first time and walking the 5K course," said event director Elizabeth Roberts.
"We welcome all abilities every week although, as it has proven to be successful, we shall continue with the Walk2Run Initiative over the next two weeks before our first anniversary event to encourage first-timers, walkers and those new to fitness to attend."
