A POPULAR member of the sports community was remembered at the Area Sports Competition.
Pam Swienton died on May 10 - two days before the event - after dedicating many years to the sports community.
Staff met at Five Rivers Athletics Track, with Andy Scrase saying a few words in memory of the former PE teacher, before the competition for students aged 11 to 16 years old got under way.
The competition saw young athletes running, jumping and throwing to the best of their abilities.
And, in the glorious conditions, 13 records were broken with successful students qualifying for next month's County Championships.
St Joseph's head of PE, Simon Gibbs, said: "Pam was a wonderful ambassador for athletics and did so much to assist young people in the Salisbury area."
"Students from across Salisbury represented their school with grace and excellence; making the selection meeting challenging as there are so many young athletes fighting for their place to go through to counties."
"We wish to thank all the staff for their continued commitment to this event and to Salisbury Athletics Club, South Wilts Grammar School and Five Rivers Leisure Centre for allowing us to use their facilities."
