AHEAD of Salisbury embarking on their new Evo-Stick Southern League Division One South and West adventure, boss Steve Claridge is busy forming a squad.

Following the arrival of ace striker Justin Bennett, three players have agreed new deals while two have left the Ray Mac.

Sturdy defenders Steve Walker and Elliot Wheeler alongside winger Claudio Herbert have committed to another year.

Walker, 26, made 40 appearances for the Whites in the season they were crowned Sydenhams Wessex Premier champions.

The towering centre half was rewarded for his efforts by being voted supporters' player of the year.

After signing a new deal, he said on Twitter: "Happy to have agreed a new 1 year extension at the ray Mac! #greatfans #goodthingstocome #rollonnewseason COYW."

His defensive partner Wheeler made 20 appearances in three months for the Whites.

The 22-year-old began his career with Portsmouth before joining Premier League Stoke City and playing for their Under 21s. After a spell with Nuneaton in the Conference, he joined Gosport before coming to the Ray Mac in February.

Meanwhile, Ashley Jarvis has joined Sydenhams Wessex Premier outfit, Moneyfields, and Dan Demkiv has departed.

Claridge swooped for the 19-year-old last summer after he became available from being released from Saints Academy.

The club say they would like to thank Demkiv and Jarvis for their services.
