LAVERSTOCK and Ford fell to an agonising 4-3 home defeat to Portsmouth-based Baffins Milton Rovers FC.

The home side took the lead in the 19th minute through Rob Gallagher.

Milton equalised in the 58th minute through their captain Tyler Moret.

They then took the lead after being awarded a penalty, which was dispatched by George Thomas.

Moments later, Joe Sanger struck to equalise for Lavvy, before two goals from Milton, including a second of the match for Moret, made it 4-2.

Lavvy pulled one back in injury time after a strike by Russell Jones, but time ran out for the The Dell side.

“Baffins are a really good side, they are a tough side to play against,” said Lavvy’s joint manager Liam McConnell. “We did not perform to the levels we are used to. We still scored three goals which was encouraging. One of the referee’s decisions was offside, but the linesman too did not give us the benefit of the doubt.

“We are always confident at home, but they are a good side and we knew that we were in for a test.”
