YOUNGSTERS are invited to take part in Kick It Out events during October half-term.

Wiltshire Council has teamed up with Swindon Town to deliver the events at Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club and Chippenham's Stanley Park.

They will feature a Street Skillz Championship with activities including crossbar, speed gun, rebounder, chip bin, and keep up challenges, as well as SAQ course and target ring.

Anyone who gets involved could be crowned Wiltshire Council’s KIO Street Skillz Champion 2016.

Jonathon Seed, cabinet member for leisure, said: “This is a great opportunity for young people from across Wiltshire to show their support for a national campaign while keeping fit and healthy by taking part in sports skills, competition and leadership activities.

“I would encourage everyone from 11 to 19 to get involved.”

The Salisbury event runs on Monday, October 24 while the Chippenham camp is on Friday, October 28, both are on from 11am to 4pm.

The events will also include tournaments for 14 to 16 year olds, the winners of which will compete in a grand final at half time of Swindon Town’s fixture with Charlton Athletic in November.

Kick it Out is Football’s equity and inclusion campaign which uses football as a tool to promote inclusion, challenge discrimination and to work for positive change.
