TRAVELLING fans were left frustrated on Tuesday night as a hat-trick from George Seacole saw Salisbury lose 3-2 at North Leigh in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West.

Tommy Wright fired the visitors ahead after just seven minutes of the clash at Eynsham Hall Park Sports Ground.

It stayed that way until the second half when Seacole levelled two minutes after the restart.

North Leigh’s number nine then netted again on 50 minutes, only for Wright to bag his second goal of the game three minutes later.

But the Millers, who were given the gate money from their FA Cup tie at Eastleigh thanks to chairman and former player Stewart Donald's gesture,

claimed victory when Seacole completed his hat-trick with 11 minutes remaining.

There was also an appearance from coach/player Wayne Turk, who made 371 appearances for Salisbury City, scoring 57 times.

The defeat was Whites' second on the road in the space of four days, having lost 2-1 at Slimbridge.

Steve Claridge's men are down to 11th in the table, seven points off the play-offs and nine points clear of the relegation zone.

They have the joint worst away record in the league alongside Bishops Cleeve, both have lost five on their travels.

Whites look for a big improvement when Barnstaple Town visit at the Ray Mac on Saturday (3pm) before going to lowly Paulton Rovers on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
