DOWNTON continued their unbeaten start to 2017 with a goalless draw at home to Tadley Calleva in Sydenhams Wessex Division One.
The hosts, fresh from beating Laverstock and Ford in the week, made a bright start.
Their best chance of the half fell to assistant/manager Ben Smith who went on a mazy run but his fierce shot was parried by Thomas Hindmarsh in the Tadley goal.
At the other end, the Robins defence was pulled into action but managed to keep out a series of goalmouth scrambles.
Boss Rae Hughes, whose side stay in 10th spot, said: "Both teams had enough chances to win the match but overall a draw is probably a fair result.
"To make four changes from last Tuesday and still put in a performance like that is really pleasing for me and Ben, it shows that we are putting together a good squad which is hard, sometimes, at this level of football."
Downton travel to lowly Fleet Spurs on Saturday (3pm).
