SALISBURY FC enter this year’s FA Cup in the preliminary round and will play against either Bashley or Fareham Town both of the Sydenhams Wessex League.

The Whites will play the tie at the Ray Mac, with the fixture on Saturday, August 19, with the winner of the game receiving £1,925.

Salisbury made it to the second qualifying round last season beating Bitton AFC, Frome Town before being knocked out by National League North side Gloucester City 2-1.

Steve Claridge’s side are also involved in the FA Trophy and will enter in the preliminary round and will play against fellow Evo-Stik Southern League West Division side Paulton Rovers at home, which will take place on Saturday, October 7, with the winner of this game receiving £2,500.

They made it to the first round qualifying of the competition last season, having edged out last year’s league winners Hereford 4-3 in the preliminary round, and only narrowly lost 2-1 to Chippenham Town, in front of a bolster crowd of 904 at the Ray Mac stadium.

If the Whites beat Paulton they will play either Evesham United or Cirencester Town, on Saturday, October 28, with the prize money for this game raising to £2,700.

In the FA Youth Cup, the Whites U18 team will play Havant and Waterlooville, with the game being held on the week commencing September 4, the winner of the game will go on to play Winchester City.
