AMESBURY Town came from behind to gain a point with an encouraging performance at Brockenhurst in the Wessex League Premier Division last Saturday.
The home side took an early lead when with just two minutes gone, Will Tickle's free-kick was deflected off Craig Wheeler and wrong footed Danny Harrison in the Amesbury goal.
Harrison was called upon to make another couple of saves in the half, but the visitors were able to go into the break still in touch.
Amesbury's best first half effort was a shot across the face of the goal.
After the break, the visitors enjoyed more possession and Jordan Matthews had a good header saved by Edward Kitcher in the home goal.
Wheeler also hit the side netting, whilst Brockenhurst had a shot which hit the upright and another effort cleared off the line.
Amesbury got their deserved equaliser with just four minutes remaining as a free kick from Cameron Roach was powered home by the head of Matthews into the top corner.
This Saturday, Amesbury are away at Hamworthy United and then a week later travel to Shaftesbury.
LAVERSTOCK and Ford went down 2-0 at Fawley in the Wessex League Division One last weekend and will look top bounce back to winning way when they entertain Downton on Saturday.
