SALISBURY Rovers will be launching an official FA/SSE Wildcat centre on April 22, right in the heart of the city at Five Rivers Leisure Centre for girls who want to play football.

The sessions will be weekly and run between 2 to 3pm.

The Wildcats Girls’ Football Clubs provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls between the ages of five and 11.

The cost per session is just £2 but, as always, Salisbury Rovers is committed to ensuring that no child is ever priced out of football so fees will be waived if cost is a problem.

The club undertakes a great deal of free community work around the city in areas of relative socio-economic disadvantage or where it is hard for kids to access sport.

Thanks to a Salisbury City grant, they are rolling out our award winning Beautiful Game Project to Harnham and Bishopdown.

The Bishopdown launch session on April 11, is open to all children resident on Bishopdown between the ages of eight and 14.

It will include a session with a specialist goalkeeper coach, football and some tag (non-contact) rugby games with a Salisbury Rugby Club coach.

The extension of their FA award winning free project is possible thanks to a Salisbury City Council grant.

They launch their Harnham sessions on April 19, which will run on every Thursday from 5.30pm to 6.30pm for players aged eight to 14.
