LAVERSTOCK and Ford Ladies marched into their first ever cup final after they hammered Marlborough 8-0 after beating Salisbury 3-0 in the quarter-final, writes Karen Musselwhite.

They will now face Melksham in the final of the League Cup on May 6 (4pm) at Oakfields Stadium, Melksham

Laverstock started brightly and in the fifth minute Megan Fear was fouled inside the area and Fear dusted herself down and scored from the spot.

Rachel Adkin made it 2-0 in the 15th minute, when she found space on the edge of the 18 yard box and picked out the bottom corner.

Seven minutes later, a Adkin corner was headed home by Jordan Frayne.

On the half hour, Adkin added her second and then completed her first hat-trick seven minutes later.

Kelly Burton added number six in first half stoppage time, when Rachel Lang's 20-yard effort was pushed onto the bar by the Marlborough goalkeeper and fell at her feet.

Two minutes into the second half, Lang lobbed the goalkeeper from 22 yards and then Jordan Frayne's 25 yard strike sealed an 8-0 victory for Laverstock and seeing them through to there first cup final.

Lavvy Ladies will now return their focus on the league, where they are currently second with game in hand.
