Whites boss named Manager of the Month

SALISBURY City player-manager Darrell Clarke has been named Blue Square Bet South Manager of the Month for August, after guiding the Whites to the top of the table.
City are unbeaten after four games, and the 34-year-old even set up the winning goal against Farnborough on Monday after bringing himself on as a substitute.
He said: “It’s nice to pick up the award but I’m not going to get carried away.
“A huge amount of credit goes towards the players and everyone involved at the football club.
“We’ve still got a big task ahead of us and we’ll just take each game as it comes.”
Clarke is preparing the players for a trip to Chelmsford City on Saturday (3pm), but before that he is expected to appear in the reserves' home game against Gosport Borough on Thursday (7.45pm).
