Salisbury & District League roundup - September 29/30
6:07pm Wednesday 3rd October 2012 in Headlines
BOSCOMBE Down Rec Club followed up their 12-0 victory over West Harnham reserves, demolishing Enford 18-0 in Saturday Division One.
Forward Charlie Croker marked an incredible display by scoring a club record eight goals - four in each half. His strike partner Harry Gale banged in a hat trick for the second successive game.
Martin Luke, Robbie Homebury, Danny Goodall, James Dickie, and Kev Preece all helped themselves to a goal each and Alex Deacon scored twice.
Nomansland also racked up a hefty score, winning 9-0 at West Harnham reserves. Lloyd Hutchinson's lovely finish inside 20 seconds was the only goal of the first half though.
Dan Browning's half-time introduction bore instant fruit as he set up Dan Hayward with his first touch. Hayward went on the rampage with a five-minute hat trick, and finished up with five. Lloyd Jolliffe and Lee Ricketts netted, and Hutchinson got a second.
There were goals all over Division One, Deacon Alms reserves beating Durrington WMC 5-3. They went in front through an early own goal and Rich Daley added two fine finishes. Tom Symes' free kick meant they led 4-1 at half time.
Durrington fought back to 4-3, but man-of-the-match Daley rounded the goalkeeper to complete his hat trick in the last minute.
Deacons' first team also took part in a thriller, drawing 4-4 with Alderbury. They were 3-1 up at half time thanks to Andy Evans and two powerful Mike Rynne headers.
They fell 4-3 behind within ten second half minutes but Adam Phillips' late header evened the game up.
Also in the Premier Division, South Newton & Wishford won 3-1 at Tisbury United. They started well and Rich Tutton's fierce drive put them ahead midway through the first half, but Tisbury landed a sucker punch on the stroke of half time.
Newton were not to be denied and Tutton's fantastic header and Dan Brain's vicious free kick ensured they took the points.
