FORMER Hampshire and West Indies opener Gordon Greenidge, pictured below, heads a star-studded Lashings World XI side against South Wilts at Bemerton on Sunday (2.30pm).
The Lashings side is packed with former Test and International cricketers, although New Zealand pace bowler Ian Butler played against England in this winter’s ODIs.
Hard-hitting t20 specialist Lou Vincent and Imran Nazir bolster a powerful batting line-up, while Devon Malcolm will share the new ball with Butler.
The 35-overs per side contest will be played in coloured clothing and with an orange ball.
The Lashings line-up is: Phil Defreitas (captain), Devon Malcom, John Emburey, Saqlain Mushtaq, Chris Schofield, Gordon Greenidge, Imran Nazir, Wasim Jaffer, Yasir Arafat, Lou Vincent, Ian Butler.
