SOUTH Wilts will have to repeat last season’s Southern Electric t20 Cup triumph over New Milton if they are to progress to the group final of the ECB Royal London National Club Championships.

The teams will meet at Lower Bemerton on Sunday, June 1 after New Milton’s eight-wicket win over Sarisbury Athletic, whom they dismissed for 97.

South Wilts beat New Milton by 17 runs in an exciting Electric t20 Cup semifinal tie last season.

New Milton have begun the new season well with a big Division 1 win over Hursley Park complementing cup victories against Totton & Eling and Sarisbury.

If South Wilts win, they will play away to the winners of Frocester and Potterne, who humbled mighty Bath last weekend.
