SOUTH Wilts will face Havant in the ECB Royal London national club championship regional final on June 21 after beating Ventnor by 109 runs at Bemerton on Sunday.

But having made a rapid start with Eddie Abel (36) and Tom Morton (35) scoring 60 off the first ten overs, South Wilts slumped to 104-5 (James Hayward 24).

Teenager Ben Draper (27) launched the recovery, which culminated in Sam Pittman (45 not out), elder brother Rob (26) and Luke Hansford (25) scoring quick runs late on to take South Wilts to 244-8 (Charlie Calloway 4-46).

Ventnor were dismissed for 125 (Henry Bartlett 25), with Jake Foley taking 4-28.

Havant were awarded a walkover when Basingstoke & North Hants were unable to field a side for their scheduled third round tie.
