SOUTH Wilts booked their place in the T20 semi finals after beating Liphook & Ripsley.

South Wilts hit 200-8 in the last eight off their 20 overs. James Hayward hit 52 off 36 balls with four fours and two sixes while Ryan Duffield smashed 56 off 29 balls, including seven maximums.

Liphook had reached 112-9 at the end of their 20 overs, with Jake Foley taking four wickets in the 88-run win.

South Wilts juniors recorded three wins on another sun-drenched Sunday.

Stars of the show were brothers Charlie and James Brewer for the under-11s, who both struck retired 50s in their side’s win over Cannings/Potterne. It helped erase the memory of last week’s defeat to Burbage. The pair both hit 51 as South Wilts posted 158-2.

The home side replied with 71-7 off their 20 overs with Nat Burke and William Langdown each

picking up two wickets.

Meanwhile, the under-11Bs recorded a shock win over top of the table Devizes and the under-15s thrashed Purton by 179 runs. Jack Stearman (42), Lewis Wakeford (64) and James Wade (38no) top scored as South Wilts posted 248-6 declared off 41 overs.
