SOUTH Wilts secured the Salisbury District Midweek cup with a seven-wicket win over FOSS.

Batting first, FOSS scored well throughout their innings finishing on 132-5, Will Harries top scoring with 59.

In reply, South Wilts always kept ahead of the run-rate and secured victory in the 18th over, mainly through Tom Pearce 38 and Sam Pittman 30 not out.

In the plate competition, Dinton ran out comfortable winners over Amesbury by 69 runs. Batting first, Dinton scored heavily throughout amassing 189-3 in their 20 overs through top scorer Ben Coombes 89 and Lance Harwood 56. Chasing such a large total proved too much for Amesbury as they closed on 126-7, Sam Dando 38. Rich Pearce with 3-22.
