THRIVING South Wilts' junior section has benefited from a firm's latest housing development.

Barrett Homes' Riverdown Park site, in Bishopdown, sponsored the young cricketers in the under-11s, 13s and 15s through 2015.

“It is fantastic for us that such a well-known brand is willing to support our club,” said said coach Rob Wade.

“The backing we have had from the company in what has been an exciting an enjoyable season has made a huge difference to young players who are learning and honing their skills in this excellent team sport.

“On behalf of South Wilts Cricket Club, I would like to thank Barratt for its support of our young players. It really does make a huge difference to the progress of our entire club.”

Barratt sales director, Lynnette St Quintin said: “We are thrilled to be able to make a contribution to such an important local sports resource. This is the start of what we hope will be a very successful relationship. It has been a great season and we have been very impressed by the club’s commitment to bringing on young players.

“South Wilts Cricket Club is vital for bringing through local sports talent from across this community and we’re proud to have been big supporters throughout the season.”
