YOUNG cricket players can hone their skills at several upcoming South Wilts courses.

The first course is aimed at boys and girls aged six to nine years, running on two consecutive Sundays in March (6 and 13) from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

The course has limited spaces so it's a first-come-first-served basis.

Over Easter, from April 4 to 6, a three-day course is taking place at the Lower Bemerton club.

And a ten-week community cricket course on Monday evenings is in the diary, commencing April 25. This is also aimed at six to nine year olds.

Before the first course launches, South Wilts are hosting their annual assessment day ahead of picking teams for their under-11s, 13s and 15s.

The trial will take place on Saturday, March 5 from 2.30pm to 5pm.
