SOUTH Wilts have added a roaring touch to the makeover of their Twenty 20 brand.
The Lower Bemerton outfit has renamed the side Salisbury Lions and, with it, launched a striking new strip.
The identity encompasses courage, pride and community, three things which designer Sam Pittman believes is a fitting representation of the highly successful club.
He said: “The challenge was to develop a brand that really captured the spirit on which the club’s success has been built.
“It was important to have a mantra that encapsulated all facets of the club; from the courage the players display through our aggressive brand of cricket and the pride our followers show in our continuous work in providing cricket to community via both self-initiated and ECB funded coaching programmes.”
“The club has an extensive history, but in order for the club, and amateur cricket to remain current, it must evolve. T20 cricket has been identified as an area where the club could innovate.”
The strip will be unveiled on Sunday when the Lions take to the field at Waterlooville for a Southern Premier League Twenty 20 clash (3pm).
