JAYDEN Atkinson underlined his bowling potential with a sensational South Wilts debut in the NatWest Under-16 Indoor League at Hampshire’s Ageas Bowl.
This summer’s Wiltshire Under-14 Player of the Year effectively took four wickets in his first eight balls - clean bowling three Bournemouth batsmen and running out another.
Atkinson, who plays adult cricket for Amesbury, finished with 3-8 in three overs as Bournemouth were skittled for a meagre 46 – a total South Wilts polished off in six overs, Jack Stearman hitting 25 not out.
South Wilts play again on October 16 against Fair Oak and Compton & Chandler’s Ford.
