LAVERSTOCK & Ford enjoyed a convincing FA Vase win at home to Cheddar on Saturday.

Eddie Perrett scored twice and Matt Cox, Rob Gallagher and Kieran Mulcahy also netted in their 5-2 victory, setting up a trip to another Western League side, Hengrove Athletic.

Callum Ham and Rob Edwards got the Cheddar goals.

Kristian Greer scored the only goal in the reserves’ 1-0 Wyvern Shield win at Bemerton Heath Harlequins on Saturday.

Amesbury Town fell at the first hurdle in the Vase, losing 4-2 at Fawley.

With the score at 0-0, Fawley’s Mark Parnell was sent off for a foul after 32 minutes.

But the home team still took the lead just before the interval through Ben Murphy.

Matt Vining doubled the advantage early in the second half, before substitute Daryl Charman pulled one back for the Blues.

Murphy restored Fawley’s two-goal lead, though Charman quickly halved it again, but Murphy completed his hat-trick to end any Amesbury hopes.

They suffered another cup exit last Wednesday, losing 3- 2 at home to Hamworthy United in the Wessex League Cup. Rich Proctor, with a free kick, and Sam Matthews had put them two up, but three goals in the last 20 minutes turned the game on its head. Substitute Dominic Allen’s brace sandwiched an Aaron Stacey header.

Ringwood Town lost 2-1 to Western Premier League side Winterbourne United in the FA Vase.

The away fixture was switched to the Canotec Stadium, and the Brewers looked set to take advantage of that, leading through Tony Bellott’s early goal until James Mainstone and Ben Dowdell struck in the last 20 minutes.

Former New Milton Town player James Totczyk made his Ringwood debut from the bench.

Jason Hardy, Oliver Wells and Robert Sen scored in the reserves' 3-0 win at home to Verwood Town last Wednesday.

Ringwood also exited the Hampshire Senior Cup on Tuesday, losing 3-0 at home to Lymington Town.
